Finally able to finish a cigarette for the first time today since we have been so busy at work. I am so ready to go home. Annoying customers piss me off haha.

There is nothing like standing outside my house smoking at 5am and being approached by drunk people.
Drunk guy: “wow cool tatts man”
Me: “tha-“
Drunk chick: “How does that tattoo on your leg work?”
Me: *looks at left leg* “which tattoo?”
Drunk chick: “no the other leg, the one that looks like a metal rod. How did they do that? Looks real. What’s it mean?”
Me: “I’m an amputee. That’s my prosthetic leg…”
Drunk chick: “wow did you mod yourself then so you could wear one? That’s extreme”
Me: “uh no.” *turns around and walks back inside*
Like who in their right mind would voluntarily make themselves disabled.
This is still one of the weirdest/funniest run-ins I have had.
Just explained it and my experiences to my coworker after she said how being intersexed would be great because could have best of both worlds, a usable dick, and a usable vagina. Then went on to say that she thought the femmyness was because I was gay. I’m not that femmy am I? Lol
I’ve been working in this industry longer than you. I stay a part of the industry when I am not at work, unlike you who just sees piercing as a job. I don’t talking about wishing I could tattoo like you do. You know I know more about plugs and stretching than you do because you ask me questions about the different types ever since you got told by the owner that I know more about the jewelry and to stop advising customers about proper jewelry and stretching methods.
Therefore do not fucking argue with me about taping my plugs to help stretch. You are at like 2g. I am at an inch. You are seriously telling me electrical tape and “even duct tape” are better than bondage tape? Yes i know what bondage tape is for, but like most things in this world, items have multiple uses. Bondage tape has no adhesive. Bondage tape and ptfe tape are what is recommended. You would know that if you really cared about the industry and community and didn’t just see this as a job. You tell me to use a taper to get the next size in. You know there is like a 3mm difference in size and you are telling me to lube up an 1 1/8th inch taper and push it through my ear? I’d rather do it slowly, layer of tape by layer of tape, to prevent blow outs.
You also tell me I am using emu oil wrong? “That is it only meant as a lube on jewelry and not for the skin”? You seriously need to research before you open your mouth. And what do you do when I suggest books, websites and things to read up about proper jewelry, ways to stretch and emu oil? You tell me last thing you want to do when you get home from work is to read about anything piercing related. This industry is my life and I love it. How can you he so flippant about being part of this industry? Haven’t you noticed how you have no real regular clients and how when people see you piercing they say they will come back tomorrow? And you wonder why I won’t let you pierce me and I will never ever let you pierce me.

Such a long day at work today. Working in a tattoo/piercing shop and looking different than the norm I don’t think a day will pass without getting stupid questions. Asked a stupid question before I even got into work, then got told by a customer that it is better to do a nostril piercing with a piercing gun and not a needle. What is it with teen customers who think they know more about my job than I do? So ready to be home with alcohol haha.
